What’s in a name?
Hello there, this website offers the why and how of massages. Eventually I would like to turn it into a blog for tips and tricks about pain management and general health and wellness. People use massage as a ritual to support their life. A great example is the Barefoot Contessa who gets a massage every Sunday for fun and relaxation. People schedule massages not just when they hurt but during holidays, prominent events in their life, or a resolve to be healthier. I hope to help you torwards your goals either through my services as a massage therapist or providing insightful information.
About the Author
My name is Matthew Boswell. I found studying science and anatomy a fascinating subject. The human body is an elegant system of pulleys, levers, and biomechanics. I received my massage degree from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mount Kisco, NY. I also have a degree in biochemistry. This background has helped me to research what massage techniques work or do not work, and what biological information holds clinical value. My main styles of massage are deep tissue and trigger point therapy.
